IBT Motorcycle Training
Training is carried out in Tullamore and at Kinnegad Plaza. Bikes available are from scooter to A category. Helmet, boots
From start to finish I will lead you through the process of how to get your motorcycle licence whether you’re a complete beginner or you have some experience.
STEP 1 Complete your Theory Test
STEP 2 Obtain your learner permit for the category of bike you want to ride.
STEP 3 IBT Training this is 18 hours of training usually done over 2 days (more hours if needed).
STEP 4 This is the best bit - ride your bike! Once you have completed your IBT training course you can ride freely in Ireland (not Northern Ireland, no pillions and not on motorways) once you have insurance, carry both your learner permit and IBT cert and wear your L vest.
STEP 5 Wait six months from the date you received your learner permit and you can now apply for your test. The RSA Riding Test must be passed within two years of receipt of your IBT Certificate so don´t leave it on the long finger!! We all know how time flies so don´t let your Cert run out.
STEP 6 ENJOY :-)
Learning to ride a motorcycle will be one of the best decisions you will ever make. It´s pure enjoyment all the way. I have been riding motorcycles over 50 years and still every time I get on one it gives me a sense of well being it´s never disappointing. Every ride out is good for the mind, body and soul.
Biking has a great social aspect to it. You will meet people from every walk of life. There are meet-ups and ride-outs regularly and there is always someone nearby looking for someone to head out for a spin. Stop at a garage or coffee shop and talk about everything and nothing, Everyone is there for the love of biking.
